Object Details

  • Description

    Light gray stoneware with incised decoration. A large, heavy bowl with straight rim and a carved footrim. Light gray stoneware, deep pink biscuit, grey inside the scar of the tubular kiln support. Covered with a crazed, olive green celadon glaze which stops short of the footrim. Turned lines below the rim and at the bottom of the cavetto enclose an incised trellis pattern on the cavetto. In the center is a circle. The outside wall with gouged vertical flutings and turned lines below the rim.
