Object Details

• Description

  Shape: Small fragment of the cover of a porcelain box. The shard is 0.3 cm thick.

  Clay: Fine, very white porcelain clay. Very few inclusions and/or air pockets.

  Glaze: Clear, uncrackled Qingbai glaze which assumes a delicate blue-green color where is thicker. The shard is glazed on both the outside and inside surfaces.

  Decoration: Molded relief decoration incorporating floral and vegetal design elements on the top of the box cover.

  Marks: None.
