Description
Drinking bowlClay: hard, musical.Glaze: celadon with a soft waxy lustre. Edge of foot unglazed. -
Label
The strikingly simple shape of this unadorned bowl highlights the characteristic blue-green color and satiny, jadelike surface of the mature Longquan glaze. A thick welt of glaze below the rim on the outside of the bowl shows that care was taken to apply the glaze as thickly as possible. -
