Bowl with molded six-lobed form and design of peony

Object Details

• Description

  Bowl, broadly flaring, modeled in six-petal form; low foot; kiln slag attachments. Gold lacquer repairs.

  Clay: hard, whitish, thinly modelled.

  Glaze: bluish gray-green; crackled.

  Decoration: molded in paste under glaze, with incised details: single large peony blossom, with stem and leaves.
